Code Noir : Un édit déshumanisant

As part of the commemoration of the abolition of slavery in 2023, the Intercontinental Slavery Museum launched an exhibition on the Code Noir, in the presence of Dominique Taffin, Director of the Fondation pour la Mémoire de l’esclavage.

Entitled: Code Noir: un édit déshumanisant, this exhibit sought to expose visitors to the brutal and inhumane rules that were in place during this dark chapter of our history, depicting how the enslaved population withstood blood, sweat and tears, demonstrating its resilience and resistance through such ordeal.
